The Canadian Motor Speedway will be built to showcase several forms of motorized racing products including:
- Stock Cars
- Open Wheel
- Electric / Solar Cars
- Motocross / 4 Wheel Off Road
- Monster Truck
- Rally Cars
- Car / Motorcycle Club Lap Days (Open Configuration)
- Classic Car Recreational Lap Days
CMS will feature Canada’s first Jeff Gordon Design TM 3/4 mile progressively banked oval track (banking not exceeding 16⁰), as well as an integrated 2 mile road course. As CMS progresses towards track completion and inspection, formal announcements will be made with respect to specific event rosters and schedules.
We’ve received tremendous feedback and support from fans across Canada & the US to include a drag strip however due to the insistence of a local rate payers group threatening to hold the development up, CMS will not be pursuing a drag racing platform at this time.
To dispel any misinformed opinions about the motorsports industry today, as well as to set the record straight about our policy on racing events, all major race sanctioning bodies have banned the use of leaded fuel products . As a CMS policy and in line with our Carbon Neutral Speedway TM platform, the Canadian Motor Speedway will not race any vehicles using lead based fuels.
With our current development timelines, track testing is slated for Q3 2019.
